I am Verine Black Elk, Oglala Lakota.  I have been beading since I was ten years old.  My work brings newness and strength; success to bringing something to life or to give it life through visions (wiohanble) to simple definition of who I am and what I represent.  The beading of my Star Earrings; there are seven directions being presented by the six points and the center:  North, south, east and west, also the top one representing The Creator (Wakan Tanka) and the bottom point representing Mother Earth (Unci Maka) and the center of the earring represents self.  The different types of colors I use represent all the nations of the world. I bring decades of experience with my beadwork which is a self-taught trade for me and it is also very rejuvenating for my mind and spirit. I reside in Rapid City, South Dakota with two sons, Valentino and Joseph and my husband, Richard. - Verine Black Elk

The colors of beading vary with each pair. Please specify color preference in Notes area upon checkout. If it is not available, we will contact you with other options.
